Hi, I'm Donna Hartley-Redfearn, the blonde behind The North East Wedding Celebrant. I'm no stranger to the wedding industry, for over twenty years I have created opulent and unique weddings worldwide with my business North East Wedding Planners.
I'm passionate about creating modern, romantic and authentic wedding celebrations, bringing an edgy approach to creating modern wedding ceremonies... nothing I design is ordinary... I'm the perfect match for couples who want a professionally planned and well-executed ceremony with a relaxed and chilled-out vibe, with light-hearted humour thrown in for good measure.
So, you really want to ask 'Why did I become a wedding celebrant? I realised a few years ago that the only wedding ceremonies I stayed to watch were celebrant-led, something about them captured my attention and heart.
2020, and with the world of weddings placed on hold, I decided to turn the negative of lockdown into a positive and seized the opportunity to immerse myself into training to be a celebrant.

Not A Dry Eye In The House:-
Donna was our amazing celebrant for our wedding this year in a beautiful rustic venue we had chosen rather than the usual church/ religious route. From the first Zoom chat with her, we had no doubt Donna was perfect for us, she put us totally at ease about the whole planning of our ceremony.
Donna is very experienced and knowledgeable, a naturally bubbly and fun person. Donna asked us to complete an easy-to-follow online questionnaire about ourselves, how we met / funny stories / embarrassing incidents/ things we love about each other, and from these replies, Donna created an amazing service for us that was very personal to us.
Our ceremony was both funny and romantic and all of our families and friends said it was brilliant. So much more enjoyable and unusual than the standard church-type.
If you would like an amazing wedding ceremony that is both quirky and fun, with a generous helping of romance that resulted in not a dry eye in the house, then we can’t recommend Donna enough, she made our wedding absolutely magical.
